RAVAS saves 50,000 euros at the touch of a button
Using RAVAS's RWV 2500 fork scale and 6100n indicator with a handheld terminal installed with SIR Mobile software, Dutch drum-cleaning company Janus Vaten has been able to generate 50,000 euros by acquiring the capability to process residues.
Janus Vaten collects IBC’s and steel drums at its customer's site for cleaning. After the cleaning process, the drums and containers are repaired, if needed, then offered for re-use. Janus Vaten processes 5,000 drums and 200 to 300 IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) daily. The residues left in the IBCs - vegetable oils, chemicals, paint and resins - are sucked out and stored for removal by a waste processing company. Until recently, Janus Vaten was not able to charge its respective clients for the residue processing costs.
