Getting to grips with new technology
There's no longer any honour in describing myself as an 'old-fashioned hack', or OFH.
While the term may reflect certain positive attributes - integrity, hard working, thorough - these days it is more akin to a journalist trapped in the old era. That OFH era involved cutting down lots of trees and spending every Friday in the pub.
No, today, I am a modern media exponent, or MME. An MME works more hours than there are in a working week, is in-touch with the latest technological advances and embracing new ways in which to reach an audience. Hence, here I am 'blogging' to you, whatever that means [*fumbles for dictionary - fails to locate term - checks date of dictionary - rolls eyes*]. I'm sure I'll get to know what it's all about, the more I do it. I'll even stick some video into the mix, if you insist.
This is the part of the PressOnShD website where you can find out just a little bit more about what's going on in ShD's world. Through my eyes, we'll visit press conferences, exciting tours of endless factories and have the odd laugh along the way. If all goes well, I may even be twittering by the end of the year. Which reminds me, I really must update that dictionary.
