Innovative ideas for the food & drink sector at IMHX 2010
The International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX), which takes place at the NEC from 16-19 November, is a must-see event for everyone with logistics responsibility.
Held only once every three years, IMHX is the undisputed leader in UK logistics events, giving visitors from diverse industries the opportunity to see thousands of handling and storage solutions from over 300 exhibitors, all under one roof. One of the key sectors whose executives can benefit from a visit to IMHX 2010 is the food & drink industry.
IMHX 2010 to host AMHSA pavilion
The Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA) and IMHX 2010 organiser Quartz have revealed that the show will feature a special pavilion for automated handling system suppliers.
Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 16 – 19 November, the International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) is the undisputed leader in UK logistics events, ably demonstrated by the fact that exhibitor space at the show is over 70% sold already. With the event co-owned by BITA (British Industrial Truck Association), IMHX has always had a large core of support from the materials handling equipment (MHE) sector but the show has also attracted increasing numbers of automated handling exhibitors, as well as software providers and consultancy firms.
EXCLUSIVE: FLTA Awards shortlist revealed
ShD can reveal exclusively the shortlist for the 2010 FLTA Awards for Excellence, the winners of which will be announced next February.
ShD readers are invited to vote here for their choice of winners in four of the hotly-contested categories.
The voting will remain open until Christmas.
Toyota sponsors VIP parking at IMHX 2010
The world’s largest fork lift truck producer, Toyota Material Handling, has confirmed its commitment to the UK’s largest materials handling event by sponsoring IMHX 2010’s VIP Valet Parking scheme.
VIP valet parking was introduced to IMHX in 2007, and proved very popular amongst those exhibitors who had invited their most important customers and prospects.
Second ShD auction attracts high interest
The second ShD Materials Handling Exchange online auction, which closed at the end of September, once more attracted considerable interest from parties keen to purchase second life materials handling equipment.
The event, run by leading online auctioneers GoIndustry DoveBid, saw registered bidders from some 17 countries and the 67 lots attracted a total of 853 bids.
