With less than four weeks to go until the awards ceremony, there is still time to enter the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.
Launched in 2008 the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards seek to recognise and celebrate the success of women in transport and logistics. IMHX 2013: the home of intralogistics
With the next International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) now just a year away, the show’s organisers are gearing up to stage the UK’s premier intralogistics event.
Eagle-eyed professionals in this industry sector will have noticed the increasing use of the phrase ‘intralogistics’ in place of ‘materials handling’ or simply ‘logistics’. Just as logistics managers up and down the UK were sighing with relief that – thanks mainly to the TV advertising efforts of a certain express shipment firm – they no longer had to explain what they did for a living at dinner parties, the industry lingo has become more complicated again!
MODEX Expo and Conference 2012 opens in Atlanta
The industry's newest expo for manufacturing, distribution and the supply chain, Modex 2012, opened at the weekend on February 6th in Atlanta, GA.
The show - which runs to 9th February at the Georgia World Congress Center - includes more than 500 exhibits and an educational conference that features keynotes by Rick Blasgen, Chief executive officer of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Alberto Alemán Zubieta, chief executive officer of the Panama Canal Authority and Donald Ratliff, Ph.D., executive director of The Supply Chain & Logistics Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology.
Yale to sponsor FLTA Awards
Leading materials handling equipment manufacturer Yale Europe has confirmed that it will be a full Award Sponsor for the Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence 2012.
Yale, winner in the Environment category on two occasions, decided to become a Sponsor for Awards 2012 as a way of showing its support for the FLTA’s important work.
Jungheinrich announces a year of used truck fairs
Leading fork lift truck manufacturer Jungheinirch (UK) Ltd has announced that it will be holding a series of used equipment fairs across the country throughout 2012.
The events will take place at Jungheinrich’s depots in Warrington, Birmingham, Cumbernauld, Milton Keynes, Sheffield and Bristol between February and October.
AMHSA symposium to explore handling over the next five years
