Business relocation specialist appoints Pluscrates
Crate rental company Pluscrates has been appointed sole supplier of crate rental services to long established business relocation specialist Johnson Business Moves (JBM). The partnership, which began in February, is expected to continue beyond 2017.
According to JBM, which celebrates its 141st anniversary this year, the Pluscrates appointment is part of a quality initiative intended to bring continuous, planned improvements across its portfolio of services, which include commercial relocation, project management, IT and PC moves, asset recycling and archive records management.

CSL expands to new premises to meet demand
Due to expanding sales and a growing demand on the business, Conveyor Systems Ltd (CSL) has expanded and relocated to new, larger and more modern premises, whilst remaining in the Swadlincote area of Derbyshire.
The move took place at the end of January, and the new site will offer increased office and storage accommodation, as well as additional space for CSL’s growing support and sales staff.
ByBox anticipates courier service turnover increase
ByBox, one of the UK’s leading field service solutions specialists, is to invest £400,000 in new IT equipment for its increasingly expanding Tech Courier service in anticipation of a significant boom in growth next year.
The company is expecting turnover to increase by more than 50% as more businesses see the advantages of using a fixed-price, outsourced Tech Courier service.
Knapp delivers automated solution at Boots facility
The new service centre from leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer, Boots – part of the international Alliance Boots group – has been officially opened in Burton-upon-Trent.
The new facility – which was inaugurated by Stefano Pessina, executive chairman of Alliance Boots, on 28th February – not only supports order processing for the 25,000 product lines of the company's e-commerce operation (boots.com), but also its Christmas gift ranges (some 2,500 product lines) and its international distribution, which prepares orders for Boots stores abroad. Boots has invested over £50 million in the Burton Service Centre, which includes both the purchase of the existing 460,000 sq ft building – the area of six football pitches – and its total refurbishment to provide leading-edge warehousing facilities, including automated handling systems from Knapp.
