Entries still open for everywoman awards 2012
With less than four weeks to go until the awards ceremony, there is still time to enter the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.
Launched in 2008 the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards seek to recognise and celebrate the success of women in transport and logistics. They showcase the diverse career opportunities available, encouraging more women and girls to consider a career in this sector and navigate their path to success - ultimately providing a pipeline of talent and future industry leaders.
This year's awards categories are:
- Rising Star of the Year Award - This will be awarded to the woman aged under 30 who has excelled in her career, making a valuable contribution to her organisation. This award is open to all women working across the industry.
- Commercial Driver of the Year Award - This will be awarded to the woman who is excelling in her role as a driver (this could include but is not limited to HGV, van or motorcycle).
- Director of the Year Award - This will be awarded to the female director who is excelling in her role. This award is open to female directors across all sectors and areas of the industry.
- The Warehousing Award - This will be awarded to the woman that is excelling in her role within a warehousing environment.
- Industry Trainer of the Year Award - This will be awarded to an individual who is demonstrating best practice in training and is going beyond their line of duty to develop the skills of women coming into and working in the industry.
- Green Champion Award - This will be awarded to an individual who has addressed and reduced the impacts of an operation on the environment and/or engaged employees in a Green agenda.
- Team Leader of the Year Award - Awarded to the woman who is leading a team to excel in a way that contributes greatly to the company's success.
- Woman of the Year Award - This award will be selected by the judges and given to one enthusiastic and dedicated woman whose vision, innovative approach and success make her an outstanding role model, encouraging more women to choose a career in Transport and Logistics. The winner of this category will be selected from the finalists of the seven categories above.
Closing dates for entries is 20th February 2012 (5pm). The finalistics will be announced in early April 2012, followed by the Awards Ceremony at The Savoy on 17th May.
