Liquor group signs deal with Rossco Properties
Diagio, the premium liquor and spirits group, is to take a 181,000 sq ft warehouse in Grangemouth.
The deal sees the company sign up for a property in compliance with bonded warehouse regulations in a deal with Rossco Properties, the property vehicle of well-known Scottish butcher and entrepreneur Simon Howie.
The deal means the 230,000 sq ft development at Grange Lane is now fully let.
Diagio brands include Johnnie Walker whisky, Tanqueray gin and Guinness.
Harry Fox, general manager for warehouse and blending at Diageo, said: “The location of this warehouse is ideal, given its proximity to our main maturation sites throughout the central belt of Scotland. This warehouse will be used primarily for the maturation of whisky and we expect to store in excess of 140,000 casks at Grangemouth.”
Surveyors James Barr acted for Diageo in the deal whilst Rossco Properties was unrepresented.
