Torque appoints head of freight
Leading logistics company Torque has appointed Paul Boland as head of freight.
Boland’s career with Torque spans over 10 years and this latest move will see him responsible for all business communication with imports, exports, air/sea and courier services. Whilst managing the current customer base, Boland will also take charge of the architecture and implementation of Torque’s unique shipment/purchase order management system, which will be rolled out across Europe, Asia and ISC later in the year.
Over the last 10 years, Boland has worked across all aspects of imports for a wider and varied account base including Cotton Traders and George at Asda, while also expanding the client base of the company and taking the department from a port to port operation to true supply chain management capabilities.
Paul Boland, head of freight, Torque commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be given this opportunity. I am looking forward to the challenge of driving Torque’s freight function into the future.”
